Redressing the balance

Today I came home from work and took K round to a friend’s house after some tea to say ‘bon voyage’ to him before he heads off to India on Wednesday. We then went round to Cairnburn Park and met my brother for a bit of fun on the swings, slides and see-saw (all beginning with “s” I hope you note). Lovely.

Then we came home and K tried to grab a book of baby names that I was looking at and refused to give her. Then she had a bath and got very annoyed when I tried to stop her drinking her bath water. The upshot? A sustained period of “Go away Daddy, not come back.”

I felt I should give a balanced reflection of my experiences of fatherhood after the below post. She is still a great wee girl.
