Sod ‘The Tweenies’

We seem to have gotten into something almost akin to a routine when I get home from work, now that the evenings are brighter. K is excited and I initially think this is because she sees me. This is very quickly shattered, as it becomes apparent that she knows if I am home, my car is too and she wants to ‘drive’ it.

K and I then spend the next 10 to 20 minutes in my stationary car, her standing in the driver’s seat and me in the passenger seat. She spends time turning things on or up or pulling them out; I respond by turning them off or down or pushing them in. Eventually, I persuade her to come back inside the house to see what her mummy is doing.

K is nearly 2 and I have gotten used to watching ‘In the Night Garden’, ‘Nina and the Neurons’ (science for pre-school), ‘The Tweenies’ et al. I must focus on what she makes me watch as opposed to the other way around, because last night in the car she turned to me and, with both hands on the steering wheel, said:

“Harry Hill – where?”

I have never been prouder.

  1. Hey you can upload videos, my ignorance has prevented me from being able to do this yet

  2. I could tell you, but I’d have to kill you afterwards…
