So, here we go then. I never really thought about writing a blog until a friend of mine e-mailed to me to say that he had started his own blog before Christmas (Kicked by an Elephant) and finished with words along the lines of “You should start one yourself – I think you’d be really good at it”. So, this is doomed to failure before it starts…

Anyway, I started reading my friend’s blog and then a couple of others started by different friends. I found it gave me an insight into their thoughts and daily lives that I otherwise wouldn’t have had – certainly not from telephone calls which (as a bloke) I view as a challenge in which you seek to share/receive the information necessitating the call in the shortest time possible. Whether they were writing on the big topics of the time or just making observations on their everyday lives, I found them interesting and also reassuring that I maybe, just maybe could do one myself.

So, now having just got broadband at home, here it is – my blog. I’m not sure what I’m going to write about or whether anyone will read it or not, but it’ll give me a forum to let the world know some of what is going through my mind.

So, who am I? I am a 30 year old guy, living and working in Belfast, a city I love (but more on that later). I’m married to H and we have a little girl of about 20 months called K, who is just amazing and who I suspect will feature in this blog heavily. I’ve lots of interests, but they’ll come out over the coming weeks. If you stick around, you’ll find out what they are and will hopefully be amused, challenged and downright confused in the meantime…
